People with psychiatric disabilities die up to 25 years earlier than the rest of the population based on chronic cardiovascular and metabolic illnesses. The new MYBody program takes a self-directed, peer-led approach to managing our physical wellness. We educate ourselves, identify realistic goals, and get support and coaching where needed. Fun group activities include healthy food shopping on a budget, follow-along simple recipes, vegetable and herb gardening, and a walking club.
